Welcome to the Maryland tourism page, the "Free State."  Although a relatively small state, Maryland offers a wealth of vacation possibilities and caters to all types of travellers.  The Chesapeake Bay has incredible waterfowl hunting and sportfishing opportunities.  Central Maryland is horse country and home to the Preakness Stakes, the 2nd jewel in the Triple Crown.   To the west, you'll find an abundance of outdoor adventure from kayaking, white-water rafting, and skiing.   Beyond the great outdoors, Maryland also has many cultural and historical attractions, such as the Antietam National Battlefield, US Naval Academy, and Baltimore Museum of Art.  This is the state where dream vacations come true, for Maryland may be small in area, but the number of attractions is huge!
